International Students

The school has been taking small numbers of international students for over 10 years and has experience in providing for their needs. Students are placed in classrooms with a New Zealand student as a friend. We believe this gives these students an excellent chance to learn English and get to know New Zealand children during their stay with us. A Deputy Principal has the task of seeing that each student makes the most of the opportunities open to them and a trained English (ESOL) teacher works with small groups on a regular basis. .

We believe that our students benefit greatly from learning alongside students from other nations. It widens their outlook while providing an opportunity for our guests to learn English. We have strong links with Birkenhead College one of the top 10 Auckland secondary schools and the University of Auckland which is in the top 100 universities in the World. This makes for a smooth transition should your child wish to continue their education here in New Zealand.
